Do I need a consultation?
You are legally required to have a face-to-face consultation prior to this treatment with a Registered Healthcare Professional, who can legally issue a prescription. Nurse Lee is a licensed Independent Nurse Prescriber with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
During the consultation your medical history will be taken and a discussion around your desired outcomes.
The consultation will take place in the comfort of your own home.
Can the treatment be the same day as consultation?
Unfortunately, due to the nature of the treatment I will not be able to complete the treatment immediately.
This is due to having to order the product from the pharmacy. The product is a prescription only medicine and requires prescription processing time and then delivery.
However, the whole process should only take a few days and then treatment can take place.
What areas can be treated?
Anti-wrinkle treatments can be used across a range of facial and advanced areas to soften lines and balance features.

What should I expect during the treatment?
As the treatment is completed in the comfort of your own home there will be some initial setup required by Nurse Lee. This will include setting up a seating area, ensuring the treatment area is clean, mixing and drawing up of the treatment. You will also complete a consent to treatment document and photographs will be taken.
Once this is completed and you are comfortable, a medical cleanse of your skin will be completed to reduce the risk of infection. A pre-injection reassessment will be carried out of the muscles to target and a recap of the planned treatment with yourself.
The treatment will start and using a very fine needle, small amounts of botulinum toxin will be injected into the muscles that are to be targeted. The procedure is fairly comfortable and virtually pain free. The whole procedure is completed in a number of minutes.
Once complete you will be reminded of the aftercare advise for the treatment.

When will I expect to see results?
The timeline for seeing results after anti-wrinkle injections varies, but the effects will become increasingly noticeable in the weeks following your treatment.
Typical Timeline:
- Initial Effects: Immediately after receiving anti-wrinkle injections, it's common to experience some mild redness or swelling at the injection sites, which should subside within a few hours.
- Full Results: Around the second to fourth week post-treatment, you'll experience the full effects of anti-wrinkle injections. Your skin will appear smoother, and wrinkles will be significantly diminished.
The results of anti-wrinkle injections typically last for three months.
A follow-up appointment will be arranged with you at around the 2 week point. At this point you will be re-assessed and if necessary adjustment doses can be administered.
Will I look 'frozen'?
With properly administered anti-wrinkle injections, you should not look "frozen".
The goal is to relax the muscles that cause wrinkles while maintaining natural facial expressions.
