What to expect from my face-to-face prescribing clinics for aesthetic treatments
Whether you're an aesthetic practitioner looking for a reliable prescribing partner, or a client wondering what a prescribing consultation involves, here's everything you need to know.
Nurse Lee Prescribing - West Midlands - Aesthetics & Prescribing
The aesthetics industry has evolved considerably over recent years, and with it, the standards around safe prescribing have rightly become more stringent. As a prescribing nurse with over a decade of advanced aesthetics experience, I offer a comprehensive, face-to-face prescribing service for aesthetic clinics across the West Midlands — working with both medics and non-medics to ensure treatments are delivered safely, ethically, and effectively.
What does my prescribing service cover?
My prescribing portfolio is broad and designed to support the full range of aesthetic treatments practitioners offer. This includes:
- Toxins — including Botox, Azzalure, Bocouture and other UK licensed brands
- Dermal fillers
- Anaesthetics
- Fat dissolving treatments
- Antibiotics - In complication management
- A wide range of other prescription-only products
I conduct all consultations in person at your clinic, meaning your clients receive a proper, face-to-face medical assessment rather than a remote tick-box process (anyone offering this service now is operating against their professional standards and you risk your insurance being invalidated.
How does a prescribing clinic work?
The process is straightforward and designed to be efficient for both practitioners and their clients. Here's how a typical clinic runs from start to finish:
- Book online — Use the online booking system to secure your appointment. A £25 booking fee is payable at the time of booking.
- Pre-consultation preparation — Before the appointment, you'll receive an electronic form to provide your client's details, allowing me to prepare in advance and keep the day running smoothly.
- Face-to-face medical assessment — I attend your clinic and carry out a thorough review of your client's medical history, current medications, contraindications, and suitability for the proposed treatment.
- Collaborative treatment planning — This is where my approach differs. Rather than simply assessing and prescribing in isolation, I involve you as the administering practitioner. Together, we review the treatment plan, discuss the best clinical approach, and ensure you have the oversight and confidence to deliver the treatment safely.
- Prompt prescription completion — Once we're both satisfied the treatment is clinically appropriate, you place your order with your nominated pharmacy and I complete the prescription electronically — on the same day, with no delays.
- Ongoing support — My involvement doesn't end when the prescription is signed. I remain available for follow-up questions and continued clinical support where needed.
What clients are actually paying for
This is something worth being transparent about. When a client attends a prescribing consultation, the fee covers a professional clinical assessment — not simply a prescription. That assessment includes a comprehensive review of their medical history, a risk assessment for contraindications, expert clinical advice, and collaborative treatment planning with the practitioner.
A prescription is never guaranteed. If the assessment reveals medical contraindications, medication interactions, or other reasons why a treatment isn't suitable at that time, the consultation fee still applies — because the client has received a professional medical evaluation. This is always in their best interest.
Responsible prescribing protects everyone — the client, the practitioner, and the clinical integrity of the treatment. By investing in a proper face-to-face assessment, clients gain peace of mind that their safety has been thoroughly evaluated before any prescription-only product is used.
Complications management
In addition to my routine prescribing service, I also offer a complications management service for aesthetic practitioners. This covers a range of complications that can arise from aesthetic treatments — from infections and delayed onset nodules (DONs) through to vascular compromise. Given the nature of complications, this service isn't bookable online; careful triage is required first. If you need assistance, please get in touch directly.
Where do I cover?
I attend clinics in the following areas:

This covers areas including Halesowen, Stourbridge, Dudley, Kingswinford, Kidderminster, Wolverhampton, Walsall, and surrounding postcodes. If you're an aesthetic practitioner or academy in the West Midlands looking for a trusted, experienced prescribing partner who prioritises safety, efficiency, and a genuinely collaborative approach — I'd love to work with you.
